The challenge
The task at hand was to execute a successful brand refresh, encompassing an evolutionary shift in the logo and a comprehensive redesign of the overall look and feel, with a deliberate move away from the previously adopted game-centric visual style. The objective was to establish a new, more all-encompassing and sophisticated brand image that resonates with a wider audience and reflects a greater degree of professionalism.
This undertaking required a strategic approach that accounted for every facet of the brand's identity, from typography and color palette to imagery and messaging. The resulting design had to strike the right balance between aesthetic appeal and functional utility, embodying the brand's core values and effectively communicating its identity to the target market.

The results
The culmination of the brand refresh project yielded a unified and contemporary brand identity that seamlessly integrates the distinctive Bavarian voice, without resorting to cliches or gimmicks. This was achieved through a nuanced redesign of the Bavarian blue and the clever incorporation of Bavarian diamonds to create a binary code, which serves as a subtle gamification design element, adding depth and interest to the visual identity.
The resulting design system is comprehensive and meticulously thought out, spanning across various mediums, including digital, print, and experiential. The system incorporates a consistent and coherent visual language that reinforces the brand's values, mission, and personality, while remaining flexible enough to adapt to various applications and use cases.
The design process was rigorous and iterative, informed by deep research and analysis of the brand's existing identity and the target audience. The final outcome is a cohesive and fresh brand that resonates with the audience and differentiates itself from “typical” gaming design language.
